First things first, head over to the Xano website and log in with your credentials. Easy peasy.
Once you're in, go to the dashboard. Find the API endpoint you want to tweak. Click on it to see the details.
Inside the endpoint configuration, scroll down to the "Output" section. It's usually near the bottom. Click on "Add Data Transformations".
A new window or side panel will pop up with different transformation options like:
Pick the transformation type you need. For example, if you go with "Rename Columns":
For “Compute Fields”, define the formula or operation you want to use, then specify where the result should go.
After setting up the transformation, it's time to test it. Go back to your API endpoint and hit the "Test" button. Run the endpoint and check the output to make sure everything looks good.
Happy with the transformation? Great! Save your configuration. Then, deploy the endpoint so the transformation applies to all future API calls.
Keep an eye on the output data every now and then to make sure the transformations are still working as expected, especially if your dataset or business logic changes.
