How to use Glide’s rich text editor?

Step 1: Access the Rich Text Editor

Open your Glide app from the Glide dashboard.
Navigate to the screen where you want to add or edit rich text.
Click on the "+" button to add a new component.
Select "Rich Text" from the list of available components.

Step 2: Open the Rich Text Editor

Once the Rich Text component is added, click on it to open the editor.
A text box will appear where you can start entering your content.

Step 3: Use Formatting Tools

Use the toolbar at the top of the text box to format your text. The toolbar may include options such as bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough.
You can also select different heading styles, bullet points, and numbered lists.

Step 4: Insert Links

Highlight the text you want to turn into a hyperlink.
Click on the "Link" icon in the toolbar.
Enter the URL in the popup that appears and click "Apply".

Step 5: Add Images and Media

Click on the "Image" icon in the toolbar.
Upload the image from your device or add a link to the image URL.
You can also embed videos and other media by clicking on the "Embed" icon and pasting the embed code.

Step 6: Adjust Text Alignment

Use the alignment options in the toolbar to adjust the positioning of your text. Options typically include left align, center align, right align, and justify.

Step 7: Save Changes

After formatting and editing your text, click the "Save" button or simply click outside the text box to apply changes.
Preview your app to ensure that the rich text appears as intended.

Step 8: Edit Existing Rich Text

To edit existing rich text, click on the Rich Text component in your app.
The editor will open again, allowing you to make further changes.

Step 9: Delete Rich Text Component

To delete the Rich Text component, click on the component to highlight it.
Click the "Delete" button (often represented by a trash icon) to remove the component from your app.

Step 10: Use Markdown Syntax

Glide’s rich text editor supports Markdown for more advanced formatting.
Use Markdown syntax directly in the text box:
**bold** for bold text
_italic_ for italic text
