How to use Figma's collaboration tools for remote teams?

Step 1: Create a Figma Account

Head over to Figma's website and sign up if you haven't already.
Log in to your Figma account.

Step 2: Create a New Project

On the Figma dashboard, hit the "+" button to start a new project.
Give your project a name and click "Create Project."

Step 3: Invite Team Members

Open your project and click the "Share" button in the top-right corner.
Type in the email addresses of your team members.
Set their permission levels (Can View/Can Edit) based on what they need to do.
Click "Send Invite" to get your team on board.

Step 4: Set Up a Team Library

In the team project, click on the "Assets" panel on the left sidebar.
Click the "Library" icon and then "Publish Styles and Components."
Pick the styles and components you want to share and click "Publish" so your team can access them.

Step 5: Real-Time Collaboration

Open a design file within your project.
Share the file link with your team members.
Now, everyone can view and edit the file together in real time.
Use the cursor chat feature by clicking on any team member's avatar to leave comments.

Step 6: Comment and Feedback

Select the "Comment" tool from the toolbar or just press "C" on your keyboard.
Click anywhere on the design to leave a comment.
Team members can reply to comments, resolve them, or reopen them as needed.

Step 7: Version History

Click on the project name in the top-left corner and select "Show Version History."
Browse through previous versions of the file to see the changes made by different team members.
Restore any previous version if necessary by clicking "Restore This Version."

Step 8: Presentation Mode

Click the "Present" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
Share the presentation link with remote team members for walkthroughs or feedback.
Use the arrow keys to navigate through different frames and present your design.

Step 9: Use Plugins

Click on the "Menu" button (☰) in the top-left corner and select "Plugins."
Browse and install useful plugins that can help streamline your workflow.
Share plugins with your remote team to ensure everyone is using the same tools.

Step 10: Hand-Off to Developers

Select the individual frames or components to hand off.
Click the "Inspect" tab on the right sidebar to generate code snippets and CSS.
Share the file link or export the assets for developers to use directly.
