Overview

Making use of conditional logic in WeWeb workflows lets you craft dynamic and interactive user experiences. Different actions kick in depending on set conditions. This approach is vital when building web applications where results hinge on user input or other factors. It’s all about setting conditions to activate actions, loop through sequences, or manage exceptions. Bringing conditional logic into the mix makes your workflow super flexible and efficient. Whether it’s validating form inputs, showing personalized content, or streamlining decision-making, using conditional logic is a must for optimizing WeWeb projects.

How to use conditional logic in WeWeb workflows?

Step 1: Open the Workflow Editor

Head over to the workflow editor in WeWeb. This is your playground for creating new workflows or tweaking the ones you already have.

Step 2: Add a New Workflow

Hit the “Add Workflow” button to start a new workflow. This will bring up the workflow configuration screen.

Step 3: Define the Workflow Trigger

Choose the trigger that will kick off your workflow. It could be something like a page load, a form submission, or any other event WeWeb supports.

Step 4: Add an Action

Click on the “Add Action” button to add your first action. Actions can be things like navigating to a page, showing a message, or fetching data from somewhere.

Step 5: Implement Conditional Logic

In the actions menu, pick “Conditional Logic”. This lets you set up conditions for when certain actions should run.

Step 6: Set Conditions

Enter the conditions that will determine when an action should happen. These conditions can be based on things like form field values, URL parameters, or data from earlier steps.

Step 7: Configure “If” and “Else” Branches

Set up what should happen if the “If” condition is true and what should happen if it’s false. Basically, you’re telling the workflow what to do in both scenarios.

Step 8: Test the Workflow

Give your workflow a test run to make sure the conditional logic is working right. You can do this by simulating the trigger and checking if the correct actions are executed based on your conditions.

Step 9: Save and Activate the Workflow

After testing and confirming everything works, save your workflow and activate it to make it live.
