How to use Adalo's slider component?

Step 1: Create a New Screen or Open an Existing One

Alright, first things first. You need to either whip up a new screen or just open one you already have in your Adalo project. This is where your slider is going to live.

Step 2: Access the Component Library

Next, in the Adalo editor, check out the toolbar on the left. See the "Components" icon? Click on that to dive into the component library.

Step 3: Add the Slider Component

Now, scroll through the library until you spot the "Slider" component. Got it? Great. Click on it and drag it onto your screen. Place it wherever you want your slider to show up.

Step 4: Configure the Slider's Properties

Click on the slider you just added. This will open up its properties panel on the left side. Here’s what you need to set up:

  • Default Value: This is the starting point for your slider.
  • Minimum Value: The lowest value your slider can go.
  • Maximum Value: The highest value your slider can reach.
  • Step Interval: How much the slider moves with each step.

Step 5: Bind the Slider Value to Data

Click on the slider again to open its properties panel. Under the "Data" section, bind the slider's value to a variable, a collection property, or a form input. This makes sure the slider's value updates the data dynamically.

Step 6: Customize the Slider's Appearance

Time to make it look good! Adjust the slider's appearance to match your app's design. You can tweak:

  • Track Color: Change the color of the slider's track.
  • Thumb Color: Change the color of the draggable thumb.
  • Thumb Size: Adjust the size of the thumb handle.

Step 7: Add Actions Based on Slider Value

You can add actions that trigger when the slider's value changes. For example, you might want to update another component, navigate to a different screen, or call an API. Click on the slider, go to the "Actions" tab, and set up the actions you need.

Step 8: Preview and Test the Slider Component

Hit the preview button in the top right corner of the Adalo editor. Play around with the slider to make sure it works as expected, updating values and triggering actions correctly.

Step 9: Final Adjustments and Publishing

After testing, make any final tweaks or adjustments needed for the slider. Once you're happy with everything, go ahead and publish your app using the "Publish" option in the Adalo editor.
