Adalo's checkbox component is a nifty tool that lets you add interactive checkboxes to your apps. Users can click-to check or uncheck options, which makes it super handy for forms, surveys, and lists. First things first, open up Adalo and head to the app where you want to add the Checkbox component. Make sure you're in the App Builder interface.
Look over to the left sidebar and click on the + icon. This will open up the Component Marketplace, where you can find all the goodies you need.
In the Component Marketplace, just type "Checkbox" in the search bar. When you see the Checkbox component pop up, click on it to add it to your app’s component list.
Now, drag the Checkbox component from the sidebar and drop it onto the screen where you want it. Place it exactly where you need it in your layout.
Click on the Checkbox component on the screen. A properties panel will show up on the left side. Here, you can tweak various settings:
If you want the Checkbox to do something specific, click on Add Action in the properties panel. For instance, you can set it to update a database, navigate to another screen, or show a message.
To make the Checkbox interact with your app's data, link it to a specific field in your database collection. Click on the Database icon and select the database field that matches the checkbox's state.
Hit the Preview button at the top-right corner of the App Builder interface. Test the checkbox to make sure it works as expected. Tweak the properties if needed.
Once you're sure your checkbox is working perfectly, go back to the Builder interface, make any final tweaks, and publish your app. Your checkbox component is now live and ready for your users.
