How to trigger workflows from a custom button in Bubble.io?

Step 1: Create the Button

Start by dragging a Button element onto your Bubble.io page where you want the custom button to be.
Customize the button’s text, appearance, and position as per your requirements using the property editor on the right-hand panel.

Step 2: Set Up a Workflow

Click on the button to open its properties.
Navigate to the "Start/Edit Workflow" option at the top of the property editor. This will open the Workflow Editor.

Step 3: Define the Workflow Actions

In the Workflow Editor, you'll see an event labeled “When Button is clicked.”
Click on “Click here to add an action” to define what should happen when the button is clicked.
From the list of available actions, select the type of workflow action you want to create. For instance, you can choose to navigate to a different page, create a new thing (e.g., a database entry), or show a message to the user.
Depending on the selected action, fill out the required fields to configure the action. E.g., if you choose to create a new thing, you will need to specify which data type to create and what data to populate its fields with.
If needed, add conditional steps or additional actions that should occur after the initial action.

Step 4: Test the Workflow

Return to your Bubble.io page editor and enter preview mode by clicking the “Preview” button at the top-right corner of the screen.
Click on your custom button to see if the workflow triggers the intended actions.
Adjust the workflow based on testing results if necessary.
