How to set up an FAQ chatbot in Glide?

Step 1: Create a New Glide App

  1. Head over to Glide's website and either sign in or create a new account if you don't have one.
  2. Hit the "New App" button.
  3. You can either “Start from Scratch” or use an existing Google Sheet or Excel File.
  4. Give your app a name and pick your data source file.
  5. Click on "Create App".

Step 2: Set Up Your Data Sheet

  1. Open up your Google Sheet or Excel file.
  2. Create a new sheet/tab and call it "FAQs".
  3. Add these columns: “Question”, "Answer".
  4. Fill in the data for your frequently asked questions and their answers.

Step 3: Configure the Data in Glide

  1. In the Glide app builder, click on the “Data” tab.
  2. Make sure the new "FAQs" sheet is visible as a data source.
  3. Check that the columns “Question” and “Answer” are correctly identified by Glide.

Step 4: Design Your FAQ Layout

  1. Go to the “Layout” tab.
  2. Select the “FAQs” sheet from the screen selector.
  3. Pick a list style layout (like List, Tiles, Cards) for the FAQ section.
  4. Configure the list items:
  • Set the "Title" to the “Question” field.
  • Set the "Details" to the “Answer” field.
