How to set up a booking system in Glide?

Step 1: Create a New Project in Glide

  1. Head over to the Glide website.
  2. Log in or sign up for an account if you haven't already.
  3. Hit the "New Project" button.
  4. Pick "App from Google Sheet" or "Glide Table" and link it to your data source.

Step 2: Set Up Your Data Source

  1. If you're using a Google Sheet, set up columns for bookings like Date, Time, User Name, Contact Info, etc.
  2. If you're going with Glide Tables, create similar columns right in the Glide interface.
  3. Fill those columns with some sample data for testing.

Step 3: Design the Interface

  1. In the Glide builder, click on the "Layout" tab.
  2. Choose a screen type (like List Layout or Calendar Layout) that fits your bookings.
  3. Customize the screen by dragging and dropping components like buttons, text fields, and so on.

Step 4: Configure User Authentication

  1. Go to the "Settings" tab.
  2. Under "Privacy", decide if you want email-based sign-in or public access.
  3. If you go for email-based sign-in, enable it and tweak the email template if needed.

Step 5: Set Up Booking Form

  1. Add a "Form Button" to your layout where users can click to book.
  2. Click on the "Form Button" and link it to your booking data source.

  1. Use the "Preview" feature in the Glide builder to test the booking process.
  2. Fill out the booking form and submit it.
