Pop in your email and password to get into the Xano admin dashboard. Look at Xano's left side navigation, and click on "Settings", then "Role Management" to reach the role management screen. Need to create a new role? Click the '+ Role' button at the top right corner of the application screen. A new dialog box will open. Enter the name of the new role and save it by clicking the 'Create' button. Right after creating the new role, you'll land on a new permissions screen. Here, you can manage which endpoints are accessible to the role and what they can do (READ, CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE). Tick the checkboxes for the respective endpoints or operations as needed. Head over to the user management screen by clicking on "Users" in the left side navigation. Click on the specific user you want to assign the role to. In the user detail screen, there’s a drop-down list for roles. Select the role you created and click 'Save' to assign it to the user. To make sure the permissions are set correctly, you can test them using the 'Test Permissions' option. Select the endpoint and role to test. It will show you if the role has access to the endpoint or not. Remember, you can always edit the role's permissions by going back to the Role Management screen and clicking on the respective role.
