First things first, log into your Airtable account and open up the base that has the tables you want to link. Make sure those tables are already set up and ready to go.

Figure out which tables you want to connect. Let's say you're linking a "Projects" table with a "Tasks" table. Decide which one will be your main table.

In your main table, add a new field by clicking the "+" icon on the far right. From the dropdown, pick "Link to another record."

A window will pop up asking which table you want to link to. Choose the related table from the list (like "Tasks").

Decide if you want to link to multiple records or just one. Check or uncheck the "Allow linking to multiple records" box based on what you need.

Hit the "Create field" button to finalize it. You'll now see the new linked record field in your main table.

Click on a cell in the new linked record field to start linking records manually. A dropdown will appear, letting you pick records from the related table.

If you prefer, you can set up an automation to link records automatically. Go to the "Automations" tab, create a new automation, and define the trigger and action to link records.

Double-check both tables to make sure the records are linked correctly. The related table will show a reciprocal linked record field indicating the connection.

You can customize the view by changing the field type display or rearranging columns to fit your workflow better. Just select the view options in the respective tables.

By following these steps, you'll have your tables in Airtable linked up nicely, making your database more relational and efficient.
