First things first, log into your Adalo account at adalo.com. If you don't have an account yet, no worries—just sign up and you're good to go.

Once you're in, you can either open an existing app or start fresh by clicking on the "Create New App" button. Easy peasy.

Head over to your app's dashboard and find the "Database" tab in the sidebar. This is where you'll manage collections, which are kinda like tables that store your app's data.

Create a new collection to keep track of your Mailchimp subscribers. You might want to name it something like MailchimpSubscribers. Add properties like:

• Email (Type: Text)
• First Name (Type: Text)
• Last Name (Type: Text)

Go to the "Settings" section in your app and navigate to "Integrations". Select "External Collections" and click on "Add Collection."

Log in to your Mailchimp account at mailchimp.com. Head to Your Profile -> Extras -> API Keys. Generate a new API key if you don't have one already and copy it.

In Adalo, fill in the details for your Mailchimp integration:

• Base URL: https://<dc>.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/ (Replace <dc> with the data center specific to your Mailchimp account, found in your API key)
• Headers:
• Key: Authorization
• Value: apikey <Your-Mailchimp-API-key>

Click "Next."

Set up the necessary HTTP requests to interact with Mailchimp's API:

• Get All Records (GET):
• URL: https://<dc>.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/lists/<list_id>/members
• Create a Record (POST):
• URL: https://<dc>.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/lists/<list_id>/members
• Body: { "email_address": "magictext-input-email", "status": "subscribed", "merge_fields": { "FNAME": "magictext-input-firstname", "LNAME": "magictext-input-lastname" } }

Make sure to replace <dc> and <list_id> with your Mailchimp details.

Create a form in your Adalo app where users can enter their email, first name, and last name. Configure the form action to trigger the Mailchimp POST API call when submitted.

Run your app in Adalo and submit the form to make sure the data is correctly sent to Mailchimp and that the new subscriber shows up in your Mailchimp audience. Fingers crossed!
