How to integrate Google Analytics with Webflow?

Step 1: Create a Google Analytics Account

  1. Head over to Google Analytics.
  2. Sign in with your Google account, or make a new one if you don't have one yet.
  3. Click on the Admin tab down in the lower-left corner.
  4. In the Account column, hit the Create Account button.
  5. Fill in the details like Account Name, Property Name, and Reporting Time Zone.
  6. Once you're done, click the Create button.

Step 2: Obtain the Tracking ID

  1. After setting up the account, you'll be taken to the Property Setup screen.
  2. Choose the Web option and click Continue.
  3. Enter your website's URL and other necessary details.
  4. Click the Create button.
  5. You'll see the G-XXXXXXXXXX tracking ID. Copy this ID for later use in Webflow.

Step 3: Log in to Webflow

  1. Go to Webflow and log in with your credentials.
  2. Pick the project where you want to add Google Analytics.

Step 4: Access Project Settings

  1. In the Webflow Dashboard, click on the project you want.
  2. Click on Project Settings in the top navigation bar.

Step 5: Integrate Google Analytics

  1. Inside Project Settings, go to the Integrations tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Google Analytics section.
  3. Paste the G-XXXXXXXXXX tracking ID you copied earlier into the Google Analytics Tracking ID field.

Step 6: Save Changes

  1. After you've entered the tracking ID, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
  2. Your Webflow site is now linked to Google Analytics.

Step 7: Publish Your Website

  1. Go back to the Webflow Designer by clicking the Designer button in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click the Publish button in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose the domain(s) where you want to publish your site and confirm the publish action.

Step 8: Verify the Integration

  1. Head back to Google Analytics.
  2. Go to the Real-Time report under the Reports section.
  3. Open your Webflow site in a new browser tab, and you should see your visit show up in the Real-Time report.
