How to implement in-app notifications in Glide?

Step 1: Set Up Your Glide App

Open up the Glide app dashboard.
Either create a new app or open an existing one where you want to add notifications.

Step 2: Create a Notifications Table

Head over to the Data section in Glide.
Add a new table and call it "Notifications".
Add these columns:

User ID: To identify who gets the notification.
Message: The notification content.
Timestamp: When the notification was made.
Read: A boolean column to show if the notification's been read.

Step 3: Add Notification Components

Go back to the app layout editor and create a new screen or tab named "Notifications".
Add a List component and link it to the "Notifications" table.
Customize it to show the User ID, Message, and Timestamp.

Step 4: Setup User-Specific Filtering

In the List component, go to the Filters settings.
Add a filter to show only notifications where the User ID matches the logged-in user's ID.
Use Glide's User Profile settings to define the logged-in user's ID.

Step 5: Implement Notification Triggers

Decide what events will trigger notifications (e.g., new messages, updates).
Use Glide's Action functionalities like "Add Row" in the 'Notifications' table.
Set the actions to automatically fill in the User ID, Message, and Timestamp fields.

Configure it to set the Read column to true for the tapped notification.
