Fire up Glide and open the app where you want to whip up some custom charts. Make sure the app has all the data you need, which you can find in the 'Data' section of the Glide interface.

Get your data organized in Glide Tables or a connected Google Sheet. Make sure it's structured nicely. Usually, a good dataset has columns for different variables you want to chart, like dates, categories, and values.

Head over to the 'Layout' section in Glide and add a new tab where your custom charts will live. Give this tab a name that makes sense for the charts, like "Analytics" or "Reports."

In your shiny new tab, hit the '+' button to add a new component. Scroll through the options and pick the 'Chart' component.

With the 'Chart' component selected, set up the source of your chart's data. Choose the right table or sheet that has the data you prepped earlier.

Pick the type of chart that best shows off your data. You’ve got options like bar charts, line charts, pie charts, and more. Choose the one that fits your data's story.

Map your data columns to the right chart axes. For example, in a bar chart, you might put dates on the 'X-Axis' and sales figures on the 'Y-Axis.'

Make your chart look good by tweaking settings like colors, labels, and legends. You want it to be accurate, but also easy on the eyes and simple to understand.

Preview your app to see how the chart looks in action. Test it with real data to make sure everything displays correctly. If something's off, go back and tweak the settings.

Once you're happy with your custom chart, save your changes. If everything looks good, publish or update your Glide app so users can see the new chart.
