How to create a workflow for sending notifications in Bubble.io?

  Step 1: Set Up Your Database  
  • Navigate to the Data tab in Bubble.
  • Create a new data type named "Notification".
  • Add relevant fields to the "Notification" data type, such as "Message", "User", "Timestamp", etc.
  Step 2: Design Your User Interface  
  • Go to the Design tab.
  • Drag and drop elements to create a form for sending notifications.
  • Add inputs for the notification message and a button to trigger the workflow.
  Step 3: Create a Workflow for Sending Notifications  
  • Switch to the Workflow tab.
  • Click on the element (e.g., button) that will trigger the notification.
  • Choose "Start/Edit Workflow".
  • Add an action by clicking the "+" button and select "Data" -> "Create a New Thing".
  • In the dialog that appears, choose the "Notification" data type.
  • Map the input fields to the corresponding fields in the "Notification" data type.
  Step 4: Add Logic to Send Notifications  
  • Add another action by clicking the "+" button and select "Custom" -> "Send Email" or "Send SMS" based on your notification preference.
  • Map the required fields such as "To", "Subject", and "Body" (for email) or "To" and "Message" (for SMS).
  • You can use dynamic data to populate these fields with the information from your form inputs or database records.
  Step 5: Schedule Recurring Notifications (If Needed)  
  • To set up recurring notifications, go to the Workflow tab.
  • Select "New Event" -> "Do every 5 seconds" or a different time interval as needed.
  • Add an action similar to Step 4 to send notifications based on specific criteria or conditions.
  Step 6: Test Your Workflow  
  • Return to the Design tab and preview your application.
  • Submit a notification through the form and check if it gets created and sent successfully.
