First things first, if you don't have an Adalo account, go ahead and create one. Once you're all set, log into your dashboard.

Head over to the "Create New App" button on your Adalo dashboard. You can pick a template or start from scratch. For this example, let's go with a blank app.

Now, let's set up your database. You'll need to create some collections. Two key ones are 'Users' and 'Payments'.

• Users: Add fields like email and name.
• Payments: Add fields like amount, payer ID (linked to Users), payee ID (also linked to Users), and approved (Boolean).

To handle payments, you'll need to integrate a payment gateway like Stripe:

• Go to the "Components Marketplace" in the Adalo dashboard.
• Search for the Stripe component and install it.
• Configure it with your Stripe account API keys.

Time to design your app screens:

• Payment Form Screen: Users enter payment details and select the payee.
• Payment Confirmation Screen: Shows payment details for confirmation.
• Payment Success Screen: Lets users know the payment was successful.

On the Payment Form screen:

• Add fields for amount and a dropdown for selecting the payee.
• Use actions to capture the payer's ID from the logged-in user.

On the Payment Confirmation screen:

• Summarize the payment details for confirmation.

Set up the payment process using Adalo actions and workflows:

• When the user submits the payment form, trigger an action to call the Stripe API for processing the payment.
• Capture the payment result and update the Payments collection.

To split the payment:

• Use Adalo's "Custom Actions" to perform API calls to a server (could be your custom backend) that will manage and split the payment amount between the payer and payee.

Create a Payment History Screen:

• Add a list component to show payments related to the logged-in user.
• Filter the list based on payment status and relationships to either payer or payee.

Before you launch, make sure to test the split payment system thoroughly. This includes:

• Ensuring payments are processed correctly.
• Validating the splitting logic.
• Making sure all related data is saved and displayed correctly in the app.

Once everything looks good, go to the Adalo dashboard and publish your app for users to access.
