First things first, log into your Airtable account and head over to the base where you want to whip up that custom date formula.
See that "+" icon at the far right of your table? Give it a click to add a new field. A dropdown menu will pop up.
From the dropdown, pick "Formula." This lets you input a custom formula for your new field.
In the formula configuration box, type in your desired formula. For instance, if you want to calculate a date that's 10 days after another date in a field called "Start Date," you'd use:
DATEADD({Start Date}, 10, 'days')
Check out the "Formula result preview" to make sure the formula is giving you the right values.
Hit "Save" to apply the new field and its formula to your table.
Head back to the table to see if the calculated dates are showing up correctly based on your formula.
If things aren't quite right, go back into the field configuration and tweak the formula until it’s spot on. You can use other date functions like DATETIME_DIFF to calculate differences between dates, or WORKDAY to calculate dates excluding weekends.
