How to create a custom action in Glide?

Step 1: Open Glide App and Navigate to Your Project

Head over to the Glide dashboard at glideapps.com.
Find your project and give it a click to dive in.

Step 2: Go to the "Data" Tab

Look at the left sidebar in the app builder interface.
Click on the "Data" tab to see your app's data tables.

Step 3: Create a New Table or Select an Existing One

Pick an existing table where you want to add the custom action.
Or, if you need a new one, click the "+ New Table" button and set it up.

Step 4: Add a New Column for the Custom Action

Click the "+ Column" button in your chosen table.
Name the column and choose its type. For actions, "Boolean" is common, but pick what you need.

Step 5: Go to the "Layout" Tab

Navigate to the "Layout" tab on the left sidebar.
This is where you design your app's interface and interactions.

Step 6: Select a Component to Attach the Action

Choose a component like a button, list item, or form to add the custom action.
Click on the component to open its configuration panel.

Step 7: Configure the Action

Scroll down in the component's configuration panel to find the "Action" or "Action Editor" option.
Click "Add Action" or "Edit Actions" to open the action builder.

Step 8: Define the Custom Action

In the action builder, set up the steps your custom action should perform.
Options include "Set Column", "Show Notification", "Navigate to Tab", "Add Row", and more.
Define each step, specifying the parameters and conditions as needed.
