How to add row-specific actions in a Glide app?

Step 1: Open Your Glide App

Head over to the Glide dashboard and open up the app where you want to add those row-specific actions.

Step 2: Access the Data Editor

On the left-hand side, click on the "Data" tab. This will open up the Data Editor, showing all the data tables linked to your app.

Step 3: Select the Target Table

Pick the table where you want to add the row-specific actions. Usually, this is a list of items or entities that users can interact with.

Step 4: Add a New Action Column

Click the "+" button at the far right of the columns and select "Action" to add a new action column. Give this column a name that makes sense for the action you plan to implement.

Step 5: Configure the Action

Set up the actions by specifying what should happen when a user interacts with a particular row. For example, you can choose actions like "Show Detail Screen," "Set Column Values," "Open Link," "Send Email," etc.

Step 6: Customize Action Based on Conditions

To make the action row-specific, use conditional visibility. Click on the "Conditions" button and add the rules that determine when the action should be available based on the row's data. For example, if the action should only appear for rows where a "Status" column is "Pending," set that condition here.

Step 7: Apply the Action to Components

Navigate to the Layout Editor by clicking the "Layout" tab. Select the specific component (e.g., list, inline list, table) where you want the row-specific action to be applied.

Step 8: Link the Action Column

In the component settings, set the "Action" property to the action column you created in Step 4. This ensures that the specified action will be executed whenever the user interacts with that component's row.

Step 9: Test the Actions

Run a test to make sure that the action behaves as expected. Interact with the rows in your app and verify that the actions are triggered correctly based on the conditions you've set.

Step 10: Save and Publish

Once you're satisfied with the setup, save your changes and publish the app. This will make the row-specific actions live for all users.
