Step 1: Create Your Adalo Application

• Start by logging into your Adalo account and creating a new application if you don’t already have one.
• Select a suitable template for your app or start from scratch depending on your project requirements.

Step 2: Add User Collection

• Create a new collection in your Adalo database named "Users" if it doesn’t already exist.
• Ensure that the "Users" collection includes fields for Email, Password, and Phone Number. You will also need a new field for storing the One-Time Password (OTP).
• Add an additional boolean field "isVerified" to keep track of the verification status.

Step 3: Build the Login Screen

• Design a login screen by dragging and dropping the input components for Email and Password onto a new screen in Adalo.
• Add a button component with the label "Login".
• Set up the button action to trigger a login attempt. On a successful login, navigate to the OTP Verification Screen (which you will create in the next step).

Step 4: Create the OTP Verification Screen

• Add a new screen to your Adalo app called "OTP Verification".
• Drag and drop input components to take the user’s OTP input.
• Add a button component, label it "Verify OTP".
• Ensure there is logic in place to authenticate the OTP entered by the user.

Step 5: Generate and Send OTP

• Use Adalo’s custom actions or integrations to generate a random OTP when the login is initiated.
• Set up a method to send the generated OTP to the user’s registered phone number or email. You may use services like Twilio for SMS or SendGrid for email integration.
• Save the generated OTP to the user's record in the database.

Step 6: Validate OTP

• When the user enters the OTP on the "OTP Verification" screen and clicks "Verify OTP", you'll need to ensure the entered OTP matches the one stored in the database.
• If the OTP matches, set the "isVerified" field to true and navigate the user to the intended screen within the app.
• If the OTP doesn’t match, show an error message prompting the user to try again.

Step 7: Final Touches

• Ensure all error handling is in place for failed logins or OTP mismatches.
• Test the entire flow to ensure users can log in, receive and enter OTPs correctly, and access your app upon successful verification.

Step 8: Deploy Your App

• Once you’ve thoroughly tested the 2FA setup, deploy your Adalo app to your chosen platform (e.g., web, iOS, Android).
• Regularly monitor for any issues or feedback from users and make necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.
