Step 1: Create Your Adalo App

• Log in to your Adalo account.
• Click the "Create New App" button.
• Select a blank template or use a pre-designed template.
• Choose your navigation type (Tab bar or Drawer) and click "Create".
• Now, you have your base app ready for adding email integration.

Step 2: Add Form for Email Input

• On the left panel, select the "Components" menu.
• Drag and drop the "Form" component onto your app screen.
• Edit the form fields as needed, ensuring you include an "Email" input field.
• Configure the form’s "Submit" action to save the input data to your database collection (e.g., `Users`).

Step 3: Setting Up an External Email Service

• Sign up for an email service provider like SendGrid, Mailgun, or another similar service.
• Retrieve your API key and credentials from the service provider.
• Configure your email template and settings on your email service provider's dashboard.

Step 4: Connect Adalo to the Email Service Provider Using Custom Actions

• Go to the Adalo app and click on the "Database" icon on the left panel.
• Click on "Add Collection" and create a new collection named "Pending Emails" (or similar) if needed.
• Click on "New Custom Action".
• Name your custom action, for example, "Send Email".
• Set the method to "POST" and input the endpoint URL provided by your email service provider.
• Add Headers to include your API key and Content-Type (generally, `application/json`).
• In the Body section, construct the JSON payload to match the requirements of your email service provider.

Step 5: Trigger the Email Sending Action

• On the Adalo editor, go back to the screen where you added the form.
• Select the form and then click on "Add Action" under the form's Submit button.
• Select your custom action "Send Email" as the action to be performed on form submit.
• Map the form fields (like email, subject, message) to the corresponding fields in your custom action.
• Save the changes.

Step 6: Test Your Email Integration

• Preview your Adalo app by clicking the "Preview" button at the top right of the screen.
• Fill out the form and submit it.
• Check the email inbox that you configured in the form to ensure the email has been received.

Step 7: Final Adjustments and Publishing

• If everything works correctly, go back to your Adalo editor to make any final adjustments to the design.
• Check all form fields and custom actions for accuracy.
• Publish your Adalo app to make it live for users.
